3rd-5th Grade

6th and 7th Grade

3rd-5th grade students will meet in the Technology Lab in Rm. 19 for class today.

Students need to navigate to the 'Hour of Code' activities by hovering over 'Classrooms' and selecting 'Hour of Code.'

For the first 20 minutes of class, students need to independently work on either 'Beaver Achiever' and/or 'Banana Tales'.  Students may ask their desk partner for help if needed.  Students need to pay close attention to details of their code while completing the levels.

For the next 10-15 minutes, students may continue to play the Hour of Code activities, or switch to Freckle to complete either assignments or Math practice.  They can work on all three math topics: 'Personalized Practice', 'Fact Practice', and 'Focus Skills'.

To get to Freckle, students need to hover over 'Quick Links' and click 'Freckle/STAR/AR/Lalilo'.

Choose any STEM Activities to play. (Hover over 'More', and click 'STEM Activities'. Sustainable Shaun link has been fixed! I challenge you to find an activity you haven't played in awhile!

For the next 10 minutes, students can work on anything productive, including Freckle, other homework, typing, coding, tinkerCAD, etc.  No games yet.

For the last 10-15 minutes, students can switch to a regular, appropriate game.  Students must remain in their seats and play quietly in case some students choose to continue working on online homework.

MIDDLE SCHOOL ELECTIVE - Robotics

Middle School Elective: Library - Lego Robotics

Students will be continuing to work on their Lego Robotics kits.  The students know the procedures for working on their robots.  Students should work toward getting close to the end of building their MVP robot today.  If some groups finish early, they need to stop at the last step, and do not proceed to the coding yet.  They may help other groups with their robot construction.

Please keep your pieces organized and check the floor at the end of class for any dropped pieces.

If you cannot find a piece in your kit today, please do NOT borrow any pieces from other boxes  I will help you tomorrow with finding a replacement part.

iPads need to be returned and plugged in to the cart at the end of class.  Parts boxes and trays with robots need to be returned to their original locations on top of the shelves at the end of class.

Please start packing up by 2:55 and clean up the library at the end of class.

I’m excited to see the new progress on the robots!
